Irdeto, a leading expert in content and business model protection solutions and services, today unveiled its expanded product line, which offers a complete range of solutions that empower companies to protect and monetize digital assets with innovative and reliable software technologies, end-to-end solutions and services.

Irdeto already has a proven track record of industry leadership in content security for digital TV, IPTV and mobile with more than 400 CA and DRM customers worldwide. The company recently acquired business support systems specialist IBS Interprit, set-top box (STB) solutions provider IDway and software and datacenter security leader Cloakware as part of a strategic expansion to more effectively meet the challenges faced by its customers, who represent some of the world’s leading digital TV operators, consumer electronics manufacturers and application developers.

This strategy led Irdeto to expand its product offering to include a full range of Content & Business Model Protection Solutions that enable broadcasters and operators to launch and grow their digital TV businesses profitably and securely using not only CA and DRM, but also Business Support Systems and STB Software Solutions. These best-in-class products will continue to be sold individually under the Irdeto brand, and will also be sold bundled as an end-to-end solution called Irdeto SmartStart for digital TV operators.

“As the pace of digital migration increases around the world, these strategic acquisitions allow Irdeto to help our customers to not only protect their content but grow their overall business in other ways as well,” said Graham Kill, CEO of Irdeto. “The inclusion of Business Support Systems and STB Software Solutions in our portfolio gives Irdeto the ability to provide advanced, end-to-end solutions to our customers, allowing them to protect their content, create a compelling consumer experience on the STB, and generate revenue by profitably managing the customer relationship.”

Cloakware, an Irdeto company, will continue to function separately with Irdeto group CEO Graham Kill as its CEO. The company’s software security solutions, targeted at the consumer electronics and software application market, make security inseparable from the software it protects and are used to secure some of the world’s largest, most recognizable and technologically advanced companies. The Cloakware Server Password Manager solution helps enterprise customers manage inter-application security in enterprise networks.

Irdeto solutions currently enable simple to advanced business models on more than one billion devices and applications. More than 400 customers worldwide trust Irdeto to secure their return on content. The company employs more than 700 people in 22 offices across the globe, including dual corporate headquarters in Amsterdam and Beijing.
