Tiger Communications announces support for Nortel devices including XML and HTML enabled IP telephones

Affirms long term commitment to provide advanced call management solutions and migration path to clients using Nortel technology within the hospitality industry

Anaheim Convention Center, California, 22nd – 25th June 2009 - Tiger Communications (Booth 125), a leading provider of Call Management Solutions, today announced that, in association with SoftDrom LCS, it has added support for the complete range of Nortel IP display phones to help organisations protect their investment in the vendors’ technology while benefiting from new features such as enhanced guest services displayed directly on IP handsets.

“Many businesses within the hospitality sector have made a significant investment in Nortel infrastructure and even though the firm is in financial difficulties, with new product development suspended, existing customers need new features,” explained Simon M. Udell, Global Hospitality Solutions Director for Tiger Communications, “Our latest version will support all Nortel IP display phones including additional features for newer models with higher resolution displays capable of supporting graphical content.”

Tiger GxmlS offers a complete solution for the management and delivery of guest specific content and services directly to the phone display. Hotel promotions, services and facilities can be "advertised" within the room and guests can use the phone display to access local information, view their bill and even express check out.

“We already offer these features across product lines from Avaya, Alcatel, Cisco and NEC Philips and this wide range of support allows Nortel customers to implement on their existing technology platform whilst offering an upgrade path in the event that Nortel is unable to recover from its current situation.” Udell adds.

Tiger Communications guest content delivery is part of the complete portfolio of Hospitality telecoms and data solutions including Telephone call billing, Property management integration, Guest Voicemail, High Speed Internet Access.
